    祖籍中国广州，生長在台湾，1994年移居至新西蘭。

    現職與專長:
    • 辯護與訴訟律師

    擅長於出庭辯護與訴訟，也是華社唯一司法部核定的最高級（第四級）刑事律師。專業 代表各種各樣被指控或起訴的當事人出庭辯護或提出訴訟。專業受理各類輕微或嚴重的刑事案件，包括兇殺、販毒、性侵、搶劫、盜竊、挾持武器，欺詐、家庭暴 力、綁架、危險駕駛（包括酒後駕駛、停牌後限制駕照申請）、攜帶違禁品出入境和逃漏稅等。

    獨立執業，是目前新西蘭唯一一位獨當一面、全程出庭的陪審團辯護與訴訟以及能受理司法部委派代表严重刑事案件的华裔刑事辩护律师。

    • 警察拘留法律協助律師 (Police Detention Legal Assistance Lawyer，簡稱PDLA lawyer)

    提供被警方拘留盤問，或“協助調查”，卻沒有自己律師的當事人提供臨時免費的法律諮詢服務，也是目前新西蘭唯一的司法部核定的華裔警察拘留法律協助律師（PDLA lawyer）。

    Jason returned to Michael Kan Law in April 2022 after a stint in civil litigation. Jason is a veteran advocate and regularly appears across all courts in Auckland.

    Jason holds PAL2 Legal aid categorisation and has experience in all categories of criminal matters

    Originally from Christchurch, Tim joined Michael Kan Law in November 2022. An effective advocate Timothy has experience appearing in the District Court and High Court on all types of Criminal matters.
